Hey everyone, thanks for visiting my site!

 

My name is Ruby Kayser and I'm a freshman at Colorado State University. I am studying Journalism and Media Communications while also playing on the CSU Volleyball team. I think my experiences and connections as a student athlete give me a unique perspective when I'm writing my stories and creating. I also work as the CSU Women's Basketball on court host. My job is to increase fan engagement by leading competitions and making announcements during the game to fans. Along with that, I am also the anchor of a feature show at CTV. The show is called Laced Up which is a feature sports show that highlights female athletes and is entirely created by females. I am very interested in work as a sports broadcaster or sports journalism. This Summer I also had the opportunity to intern at Coaches Insider. I grew my video editing skills on Premier Pro and created several sports video modules. 

 

Outside of school and volleyball I like to spend my time rollerskating, laying in the sun, reading, walking my dogs, horseback riding with my mom, and hanging out with my friends.
